Event Description

.E.M.G. presents the triple bill of Holy F*ck, Shout Out Out Out Out, and Land of Talk live in concert.

An improvisational electronic band from Toronto, Holy F*ck has taken the music world by storm. In only a years time Toronto's Holy F*ck have made numerous live recordings and played a multitude of festivals including CMJ, SXSW, Montreal Jazz Festival, NXNE, CMW, Halifax Pop Explosion, Pop Montreal, and most recently Coachella as backing band for acclaimed Brooklyn hip hop artist Beans. No laptops, no samplers, no synths, no rehearsing at times, the electronic sound of Holy F*ck is improvised entirely with toy keyboards, live drums, live bass guitar, and a myriad of other toy gadgets and a 35mm film synchronizer. Their first album released, the self titled Holy F*ck achieved rave reviews from critics.

From the isolated obscurity of Edmonton's Music Scene Shout Out Out Out Out provide audiences with their own blend of electro-dance rock that keeps audiences excited for hours on end. Their recently released CD Not Saying/Just Saying received rave reviews from critics it also landed on the Electronic Top Ten for the week of July 25/06 in Earshot magazine. After years of playing domestic and international music festivals, Shout Out Out Out Out has been on the forefront of what's next to come in dance music.

Montreal based Indie-Rock band, Land of Talk, formed by lead singer Elizabeth Powell, drummer Bucky, and bassist Chris. Together, Land of Talk has created a unique sound with their up-tempo indie-rock sound. After receiving strong reviews for their debut EP Applause Cheer Boo Hiss, released in April/06, Land of Talk have gone on tour with Metric, and have performed many shows with headlining band Holy F*ck.

On Friday September 22 come see Holy F*ck, Shout Out Out Out Out, and Land of Talk performing live at Richards on Richards.
