Event Description

The Montreal based trio, H ii Regions was formed in 2020. Featuring the generous tenor saxophonist Aaron Leaney weaving intricate melodies and free-form explorations with bassist Nicolas Caloia laying down hypnotic unpredictable rhythms while drummer Jahsun draws from the afro-diasporic laws of space and time.

The new trio Houle / Schulz / Houle unites three acclaimed improvisers from two continents and transcends borders. The unique instrumentation of François Houle on basset clarinet, Anthony Schulz on accordion and Viviane Houle on voice offers an extraordinary palette of sonic possibilities.
