Liam Cowan was born and raised in the Canadian Rockies. He’s a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer based in the Bow Valley. He blends a wide range of influences, from Hendrix, Neil Young, and David Bowie, to Arctic Monkeys, classic Soul/Motown, and blues greats like BB King and Buddy Guy.
Liam spent five years in the UK and Scotland, performing at festivals and open mics - from Glastonbury to intimate pubs in Glasgow - absorbing diverse musical styles and scenes. Back in Canada, he became a staple in the Bow Valley live music scene, collaborating with local artists and opening for touring acts like Moontricks, Shred Kelly, and Apollo Suns, among others

Popping down to the pub on a Friday evening to catch up with friends and neighbours is a time-honoured tradition - and we’re keeping it alive with Community Fridays.
Every Friday from November through April, we feature local singers, songwriters, and small acoustic bands from 5-7pm. The atmosphere is easygoing and unpretentious - music that blends naturally into the buzz of the taproom, adding warmth and a sense of connection. It’s the perfect way to unwind and welcome the weekend.
And because good times pair best with good beer, enjoy Happy Hour $6 pints from 4–7 pm every Community Friday. Cheers to that! 🍻
We're here to help artists and arts organizations reach their audiences and each other.
Non-profit run and created by the community, ArtsVictoria.ca integrates current event listings and multimedia arts portfolios, and creates an explorable, living archive of the arts in Victoria BC.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
