Jean is a South African, enjoying permanent residence in Canada. She was a student of Prof. George van der Spuy of Somerset West and sang in several concerts and recitals under his tutorship. She also attended Summer School in Chatauqua, NY, USA, where she studied under Prof Virginia Pyle. She currently works under the excellent guidance of voice teacher Gary Zeller of Vancouver. She has sung several recitals in Canada.
