Event Description

Join us July 24–27, 2025 for a four-day family-friendly cultural and musical extravaganza with over 70 artists, food vendors, an arts market, family zone and much more.

The Folk Festival Society of Calgary serves as a cultural hub, economic driver and community gathering space, creating a significant impact on the local community by enriching the lives of residents and visitors, supporting local artists and promoting sustainability.

The festival unites creative folks from diverse backgrounds, genres and cultures, introducing audiences to a wide range of music styles, artistic disciplines and traditions from around the globe. There are so many stories over our 45 year history about artists who have collaborated, worked and toured together after being on the Festival’s unique sessions. Immersion in the arts fosters cultural appreciation and understanding of diverse worldviews and perspectives.

For events that run over a range of consecutive dates. i.e. Art show, museum show etc.

Submit a Profile to the Directory

List an Individual Artist / Artisan / Musician

(Painter, Carver, Dancer, Writer etc)

List an Arts Ensemble

(Band / Choir /Dance Troupe, Theatre Troupe, Artist Collective etc.)

List an Organization / Resource in the Directory

(organization, business, venue etc)

Submit Art

Submit a piece of Art

Add a photo / information on art by a local artist

Submit Public Art (Current)

Submit a piece of local public art to the gallery & map.

Submit Public Art (Historical)

Add a photos + info on pieces of public art that no longer exist to be included in the permanent public archive.
