CROP CIRCLE - Having played alongside bands such as ZZ Top, Bif Naked, Todd Kerns, The Black Halos, Swollen Members & Gob Gob, Lou Gramm, Todd Kerns and Finger Eleven and The Trews on Budweiser's True Music program, Crop Circle's melodic rhythms incorporate a garage band sound with early alternative rock and their newest songs have never sounded better. The independent band's accessible heavy guitar driven rock hit the top 5 on CFOX, earned the band a spot on the 2002 CFOX Seeds CD and became the #1 most requested song at Kelowna's Power 104! With musical styles spanning heavy edge to acoustic, there are two distinct sides to Crop Circle's music: one is purely for entertainment's sake, while the other is about a variety of political and social issues. Be sure to come out this evening to sample some tasty new tunes from their upcoming release, currently in production with Todd Kerns at the helm! (9:15pm) http://www.cropcircle.ca
WAITING FOR ROGER play melodic, dynamic, hard and soft intricate rock. The band is an amalgam of five very different personalities, offering compelling lyrics, excellent instrumental tones and a tight sound. (8:30pm) http://www.myspace.com/waitingforroger
THE FLAIRS are a 21st century band ready to take the world by storm with their catchy, hook-laden rock songs harkening back to the days of '80s metal and punk, sweetly flavoured with female harmonies and a whole-lotta attitude. Featuring former members of Tuuli and Bif Naked's band, they skillfully blend youthful spirit and undeniable talent to unleash a sound they can truly call their own on an unsuspecting public hungry for living, breathing, punk-coloured hard rock with smart pop sensibilities. ORCHARDS & VINES reveal a rich, dark musical territory of compelling songs and lyrics, with powerful, dynamic female vocals fronting raw, intense guitars and drums. Their explosive modern sound invokes the incendiary vibe of artists like Led Zeppelin, Radiohead and Nirvana. (7pm sharp) http://www.ovweb.com
