, Decca/Universal Music Canada recording artist and Juno award nominee Matt Dusk, will start his multi city tour in Niagara Falls, ON at the Fallsview Casino. Hot on the heels of his debut album, Two Shots, Dusk will be touring to support his highly anticipated second album, Back In Town - available in stores this May.
Back In Town is a collection of original and classic material. The new songs are a combination of pop, rock, country and jazz, while the classic ones are a page out of the American Songbook which include favorites such as “The Best Is Yet To Come”, “As Time Goes By” and “Get Me To The Church”. These classic songs were performed by a full big band orchestra with strings and arranged by Patrick Williams, Sammy Nestico & Vince Mendoza. Back In Town was recorded in Nashville, TN and Los Angeles, CA at the legendary Capitol Studios in Studio A – which has seen some of the world’s greatest singers including Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin and Ella Fitzgerald pass through its doors. Al Schmitt, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s GRAMMY Awards, recorded and mixed the big band tracks.
Dusk is thrilled to be hitting the road again. He stated, “Performing is what I live for. I’m looking forward to sharing this new album with everybody. People can expect an entertaining show and it’s gonna be a lot of fun!”
