Event Description

On sale Saturday, March 25 @ 10am

Three albums into their career and it already seems like The Strokes have been with us forever - so influential was the New York quintet's debut. Can we remember a time pre-Strokes? The band's first record turned the industry upside-down and influenced countless other groups, at the same time opening the ears of radio programmers, journalists and record company executives--not to mention turning on millions of music fans all over the world.

Stylish, smart, ambitious and above all catchy as a tackle box, The Strokes continue to set the rules and raise the bar with their third album, First Impressions of Earth. Once again Julian Casablancas is in great form, singing hook-laden melodies and sometimes cynical lyrics wrapped in inventive, energetic arrangements that draw from the band's many and diverse sources while remaining decidedly Strokesian. It's no exaggeration to say that The Strokes may well be the most important band since Nirvana, and any chance to see them is an opportunity worth seizing.
