Event Description

Over-the-top missing link between Hawkwind, Chrome and The Stooges!?!

Then: From 1973 to 1981 Zolar X gained notoriety on the west coast USA for (seemingly) dressing and

acting like space-aliens 24 hours a day! Their outlandish image was matched by strong songwriting, performances, and over the top stage sets. Zolar X were for a time the “house band” at famed rock star hangout Rodney Bingenheimer’s English Disco, and shared stages with Iggy Pop, The New York Dolls, Ray Manzarek, Jobriath, and Silverhead (among others). Kiss would check them out, and Zolar X slugged it out against all odds in the pre-DIY rock scene.

Now: Longtime fan Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) released a deluxe edition of Timeless in

late 2004. Inspired, Zolar X reformed in 2005! Lucky fans should expect metallic amp casings,

silver platforms and backdrops, antennae headgear, and ever-changing outfits faithful to the 70’s

glam era! Whether you are glam, a punk, an indie-rocker, a cult (Psychotronic) movie fan, or still

bitching about how Rush sold out circa Signals 1982, Zolar X has something for you! Catch them

now, before they decide to once again, leave earth!

“Imagine Slade and Sweet played as if it was classical music by Bowie‛s pre-

Spiders power trio of The Man Who Sold the World and you still won‛t be

prepared - wonder at the fact this amazing band has slipped past you up

until now.” - Creem Magazine

“Over-the-top Hawkwind-meets-Bowie glam rock - an insanely fun party record!”

-San Francisco Weekly
