Event Description

Train's latest album For Me, It's You, is the band's most personal effort yet. The band reaches new levels of emotional depth and intensity on songs addressing lovers, family, and friends on the Grammy Award-winning, multi-platinum quintet's fourth disc.

For Me, It's You, sees a revamped and revitalized Train lineup, with the three core members (Pat Monahan, vocalist/songwriter; Jimmy Stafford, guitarist; and Scott Underwood, drummer) joined by bassist Johnny Colt (from the Black Crowes) and keyboardist Brandon Bush (John Mayer), who have been playing with Train since the band's 2003 My Private Nation tour. The result is a more relaxed and intimate vibe than on previous records, with the band's trademark intensity still flowing, particularly in "Cab," the incredibly catchy first single. Meanwhile, alt-rock fans will be interested to learn that Train covers "If I Can't Change Your Mind," a song by '90s Bob Mould-led musical force Sugar.

Best known of anthemic radio staples like "Drops of Jupiter" (from the multi-platinum album of the same name, released in 2001) and "Calling All Angels" (from 2003's platinum-certified My Private Nation), Train formed in 1994 in San Francisco. Its self-titled 1998 debut spawned two hit singles, "Meet Virginia" and "Free." Train has played thousands of shows over the last decade and stunned audiences all over the world.
