ALTERNATIVE PRESENTING:
A SHARING CIRCLE ON THE PROS AND CONS PROGRAM
With Hugh Christopher Brown and Ron Burning

The Pros and Cons Program helps create music in prisons to support healing, restorative justice, victim support, and education.

Participants build better relationships to themselves and others, obtaining practical knowledge and skills across platforms of music, engineering and computer literacy. Funds raised by Pros and Cons provide instruments, recording equipment and mentors to teach skills, promote healing in situ for incarcerated people. To date, Pros and Cons has released four albums.

Welcome to The Art of Visiting!
Join LodgePole Arts Alliance from Monday, October 7, 2024, at 12:00 PM until Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 3:00 PM for three days of connection on Wolfe Island and Katarohkwi/Kingston, Ontario.

We invite Indigenous and Treaty-partner (non-Indigenous) presenters, artists, and agents from across the nation to visit our land and engage in informative panel discussions, interactive workshops, and inspiring performances.

Our focus for this event is to be on the land, enjoy the spectacular colours of the harvest season, and build a relational exchange of knowledge and creativity rooted in respectful reciprocity.

The Art of Visiting is free for Indigenous arts sector representatives, and Indigenous Presenters are encouraged to reach out to us to explore financial support for attending. For Treaty Partners, we kindly request a minimum donation of $50 for attendance.

Mark your calendars and get ready for three days of inspiration and discovery at The Art of Visiting on Wolfe Island!
