Join us for an uplifting evening of Klezmer music from Odessa, Ukraine with Kommuna Lux (on tour in support of Ukraine), and Victoria’s Balkan Dance Party legends, Bučan Bučan!

Come fall in love with Odesa, Ukraine, the Pearl of the Black Sea! Kommuna Lux 7-piece band brings you the heritage music of their beloved hometown. Klezmer, Balkan, and Urban Chanson, with a dash of Ukrainian Folk and powered by rocket fuel, Kommuna Lux impacts the crowd with a nostalgic, high-energy Big Band sound from the bygone days of speakeasies and rum runners.

Opening the evening is Victoria’s Balkan music legends, Bučan Bučan! Made up of a very colourful and talented collection of musicians playing trumpets, violins, clarinets, tubas, accordions, trombones and drums, Bučan Bučan has been entertaining crowds for the last decade with its variety of traditional, eastern European brass band tunes and original material inspired by Balkan rhythms and melodies.
