About the bands:
Folk-rock collective Princess Towers take their name from a 1970s apartment building widely considered to be Kingston’s biggest eyesore. Like their namesake, their sound combines familiar forms and daring design choices, fantastic visions and bug-infested realities. Since 2021, the shape-shifting collective has released an album and an EP, and toured to both coasts. https://princesstowers.bandcamp.com/
Funeral Lakes is a moody indie rock group based out of Kingston, Ontario. With a driving rhythm section, swirling guitar and synth, and dual lead vocals, their unique sound is both haunting and energetic, blending elements of post-punk and shoegaze. After a series of well received releases, Funeral Lakes has found regular rotation on campus and community radio across Canada. This year marks the release of their sophomore album “North American Martyrs” – a reflective record that seeks to unravel myth and memory in the past and present. https://funerallakes.bandcamp.com
