Event Description

Learn how to train your voice safely with Find Your Voice Music Therapy. For ages 14-25.

Group music therapy sessions will focus on connecting individuals with a peer support network, discuss and validate topics and/or issues the individuals have been facing, and to use music therapy interventions to elicit intra and interpersonal growth. The social aspect of the group sessions would be an opportunity for individuals to feel less isolated, try out new pronouns and/or names within a safe social setting, explore confidence with identity and expression, and discuss common issues/ struggles the non-binary community faces. This program will provide an opportunity for vocal expression through breathing exercises, vocal warm-ups, vocal coaching exercises, improvisation, collaborative songwriting and collective music-making. You do not need to be "musical" to be involved with this program. All music making experiences will be made accessible at the comfort level of participants.

This program is in partnership with Find Your Voice Music Therapy.
