The Commodores Big Band returns to the Charlie White Stage on Sunday, March 10 with a show featuring “MUSIC FROM THE MOVIES”… with the dynamic sound only an 18-piece Big Band can produce.
From “Over the Rainbow” (Wizard of Oz), “Little Brown Jug” (Glenn Miller Story) and “It Had To Be You” (from the movie of the same name) to “Skyfall” (James Bond) “Friend Like Me” (Aladdin) and “Soul Bossa Nova” (Austin Powers)… you will enjoy all your favourites!
Joining the Commodores will be performances by dancer, John de Pfyffer… a vocal quartet including our very own Kim Greenwood and special guest Diane Pancel.
The Commodores have been a staple of the Victoria music scene since 1984, entertaining thousands of people each year from ballroom dancers to packed crowds at Butchart Gardens. Most recently, the band was featured on CHEK-TV’s UpSide. The band features many of the top musicians in Victoria with a variety of all the music you have grown to love.
We invite you to enjoy a memorable afternoon of music with the Commodores!
