Victoria Folk Music Society weekly gathering; Everyone welcome jam 6:45pm, Open Stage 7:30pm, Feature Performers Hoss Mountain Stringband at 9pm, 1110 Hillside Avenue, $8 cash at the door

Men of few words, The Hoss Mountain Stringband plays an eclectic mix of old and new Bluegrass music, woven together with deep connections to Old-Time and Swing.

The band features Paul Moquin, guitar; Kris Boyd, mandolin; Mike Kraft, banjo; Alan Law, dobro; Mark Johnson, bass; and Josh Miszczak, violin.
