Sponsored by the UVic School of music. See violinist Mark Lupin and pianist Ayke Agus, former students of Jascha Heifetz at the Phillip T. Young Recital Hall Sept 30, 7:00pm.

A biography of the world’s most renowned violinist, featuring family home movies in Los Angeles and all over the world. Jascha Heifetz was the first truly modern virtuoso, a legendary but mysterious figure whose story embodies the dual nature of artistic genius. The paradox of how a mortal man lives with immortal gifts – gifts he must honor, but which extract a life-long price.
