Event Description

Jazz jam (from 9pm) free with early show admission - We are inviting the Jazz At Lincoln Center Orchestra!

Celebrate music from the time of Counts, Dukes and Kings - Count Basie, Duke Ellington & Nat King Cole and MORE!
This powerhouse trio invites you to sit back and relax to the swing, sass and soul of classic jazz!

Featuring the swinging and soulful drums and vocals of Kelby MacNayr, the outrageously groovy Hammond B3 organ of Dr. Tony Genge and the masterful and understated, melodic saxophone oRoy Styffe, this group is a tour-de-force of swing!

Drummer and vocalist Kelby MacNayr has performed across North America with many of the greats in jazz and world music Including Grammy award-winners John Clayton, Alex Cuba and Gail Deadrick, Canadians Ian McDougall, Dan Thompson, Hugh Fraser and Neil Swainson and has shared the stage with the likes of Wynton Marsalis, Terrell Stafford, Tamir Hendlemen and more!

Piano player and organist Tony Genge has been a staple of the Canadian jazz scene teaching at Saint Francis Xavier in Nova Scotia before relocating to the West Coast. Tony has played with a Who’s Who of Canadian and international jazz greats from David “fat head” Newman to Jeff Hamilton, John Scofield and many more of Counts, Dukes and Kings - Count Basie, Duke Ellington & Nat King Cole!
This powerhouse trio invites you to sit back and relax to the swing, sass and soul of classic jazz!

Saxophonist Roy Styffe has been a mainstay of the Canadian jazz scene for over two decades performing in Toronto with the likes of Ed Bikert, Neil Swainson and Don Thompson and on the West Coast with artists Bill Coon, Kelby MacNayr, Tony Genge, Ian McDougall and more! Often compared with the greats of alto saxophone such as Paul Desmond and Cannonball Adderley, Roy brings a beauty and joyfulness to his playing and a sophistication to his lines that place him on the top tier of Canadian jazz saxophone.
