In a captivating parallel to Oppenheimer's narrative, Steve James presents a documentary that unveils the life of Ted Hall. Hailing from Harvard, Hall was enlisted into the Manhattan Project as a young teen. Decades later, he admitted to divulging atomic bomb secrets to the Soviet Union. Through Joan, Hall's wife, the documentary weaves a tale that's both a historical thriller and a tale of love. Delving into the reasons behind his actions, his methods of concealment, and the profound risks involved, the film paints a vivid portrait of intrigue and emotion.
