Event Description

Who are the lens-based image makers currently producing work in our city? THIS IMAGE THAT acts as a survey of contemporary photographers working locally with the aim of subverting the historical tropes of the medium. A focused collection of traditional and exploratory approaches to image-making will be on view, as selected by VAC’s Executive Director Kegan McFadden.

featuring: Ishe Barrett, Laura Dutton, Laura Gildner, Jeff Jones, Michael Andrew McLean, and Tara Nicholson.

Please join us for a public reception Friday 13 January, from 7PM-9PM where artists will be in attendance.

Opening reception: Friday 13 January @ 7pm
Artist panel: Saturday 28 January @ 3pm
Curator’s tour: Sunday 26 February @ 3pm
