MICHAEL WHITE & THE WHITE has been doing the Zeppelin ‘sound’ since the late seventies. They have been acknowledged by both Jimmy Page and Robert Plant as the best on this planet. In The Led Zeppelin Discography Series THE WHITE perform every Led Zeppelin album ever made by the band.
The Song Remains The Same, the soundtrack from the movie of the same name, was the only official live album available for twenty-five years. When they created it in 1976, they were taking somewhat if a risk. Their classic rock hits had been heavily produced studio tracks. For this album they had to interpret them in the live format. No banks of three, four or five guitars, just Jimmy Page, John Bonham, John Paul Jones and Robert Plant doing ‘Moby Dick’, ‘A whole Lotta Love’, ‘Stairway To heaven’, ‘Rock & Roll’ and more. Bonzo does the longest drum solo in the world – with his bare hands – and Page takes ‘Dazed and Confused’ for an extended walk around the block with his violin bow sounds.
This is a great collection of songs for those who would rock and MICHAEL WHITE & THE WHITE is the best at doing live Led Zeppelin, either studio or live versions.
