Event Description

The Victoria Electronic Music Festival (WWW.VEMF.CA) is expanding our 2004 show with new features for the event on August 6th, 2005 in Centennial Square. The longer timeslot, from 12:00 noon to 10:00 p.m. will include 11 live DJs, including one voted for by the public. The Music Production seminar series, managed by Pacific Front Recordings, will make electronic music even more accessible to the public with demos of drum programming, loop manipulation, bassline essentials and more. Bigger and better than ever, the event is still free to the public.

As if 10 hours of thumpin' tunes isn't enough, the party continues at Hush nightclub. After VEMF last year, the line-up to get into Hush went around the block, and the club was packed until it closed. Arrive early to beat the crowds!

• Increased festival hours = 12noon – 10pm, Saturday August 6, 2005
• 11 live DJ performances
• A music production & instruction tent. Grab a front row seat and witness the creation of electronic music, as demonstrated by AFK and Formulate from Pacific Front Recordings.
• Beer Garden - always a crowd pleaser!!
• DJ seminars (also held in the instruction tent)
• Food, Beverage & Merchant Vendors
• After party at Hush be sure to come down early to avoid the line-up!
