Event Description
Fresh off the heels of their acclaimed single “You Won’t Bring Me Down”, THE ROD MOORE BAND will release a brand new Holiday single “Why Can’t Christmas Be Just Another Day” on November 27, 2021.
To celebrate the release, THE ROD MOORE BAND has announced a live show at The Roxy Cabaret in their hometown Vancouver, B.C., also on November 27. Tickets are available now at https://bit.ly/RMB-Roxy
“Why Can’t Christmas Be Just Another Day” was recorded at Vancouver’s famed Hipposonic Studios, and will be available on Bandcamp and all streaming services on November 27.
On the song’s message, lead vocalist and namesake Rod Moore comments: “While the song’s lyrics may sound a bit ‘anti-Christmas’, it’s really trying to say that if we put as much care towards each other every day as we did on December 25th, the world could be a better place.”
November 27 will also mark the live debut for this incarnation of THE ROD MOORE BAND, a 10-piece ensemble which includes horns and dual backup vocalists in the tradition of Moore’s musical heroes. They will be performing songs from all three of their releases plus some surprises, and the live debut of “Why Can’t Christmas Be Just Another Day”.
THE ROD MOORE BAND was formed in 2018 by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rod Moore, a veteran of the instrumental “Surf Guitar” scene who aspired to step out front and showcase his highly accessible original pop music. To date they have released one full-length album and two EP’s. Their most recent EP “Lockdown” was released in 2021.
