Kora Flamenca est une carte blanche offerte à l’artiste Zal Sissokho pour créer de nouvelles œuvres avec des musiciens de différents horizons. Aux côtés de la guitariste flamenca Caroline Planté, du contrebassiste Jean Félix Mailloux et du percussionniste Miguel Medina, Zal propose une rencontre entre la culture mandingue dont il est issu et le flamenco, repoussant ainsi les limites de son instrument traditionnel, la kora.
Kora Flamenca is a carte blanche given to the artist Zal Sissokho to create new works with musicians from different backgrounds. Alongside flamenco guitarist Caroline Planté, double bassist Jean Félix Mailloux and percussionist Miguel Medina, Zal presents an encounter between his native Mandinka culture and flamenco, thus redefining the boundaries of his traditional instrument, the kora.
