Memorial Watercolor Exhibition: Louise Piquette

Event Description

Boreal and Prairie Landscapes: This is a one time event presenting Louise Piquette, a well known artist in Sidney and in Northern Alberta who passed away in 2019 leaving behind a trove of watercolors. Her vivid and colorful watercolors present many beautiful landscape that individuals who have visited or lived near the vast expanse of the Boreal Forest of Canada will readily recognize. Her husband, sons and daughter are the volunteering their time to present her works for sale. The proceeds of the sale will go to fund an annual scholarship for francophone students attending a postsecondary visual art program in Canada. Louise was one of the most prominent francophone artists in Alberta.
