This Thursday at Hermann's, we have some very, very special guests: Juno-award-winning trumpeter Brad Turner and New York pianist Steve Hudson join the Redline Trio on the Hermann's stage!
Brad Turner is a three-time Juno award winner and six-time Canadian National Jazz Awards winner. This trumpeter is multi-talented as a pianist, drummer and composer and one of Canada's most in-demand and highly esteemed jazz musicians.
We are also incredibly lucky and thrilled to have pianist and composer Steven Hudson visiting from New York. His musical works have aired on Netflix, HBO, film festivals and more!
These two incredible musicians will be playing alongside The Redline Trio, who are bringing drums, saxophone and bass together to create modern jazz tunes that roar with the influence of early blues music. They perform weekly at Betty Lous Library a local speakeasy and has been featured at the NVRLND Creative Music Fest, JazzYYC Winter Jazzfest and The Brightside Arts Festival. They have presented feature concerts at cSPACE and the King Eddy in Calgary, as well as artsPlace in Canmore. Redline Trio have been keeping company with such musicians as Brad Turner, Steve Hudson, Brandi Disterheft, Mike Rud, Allison Lynch, Quincy Troupe and Calgary’s Poet Laureate Sheri-D Wilson.
With musicians of this calibre, this show is one that hands down deserves to sell out! After almost two years of live hiatus, don't miss out on a chance to see and support these wonderful musicians. Tell all your friends!
