Event Description
The FIRST EVER OFFICIAL VICTORIA AIR GUITAR CHAMPIONSHIPS! The winner will become Vic's first ever official champ and receive a cash prize! There is NO ENTRY FEE to compete, and there are sign up sheets at Lucky, Backstage Pass and Long & McQuade.
FYI, here are the rules (as outlined by the WORLD AIR GUITAR CHAMPIONSHIPS):
1. The instrument of an Air Guitar player must be invisible, i.e. air. An Air Guitarist may play an electric guitar or an acoustic one - or both.
2. Competitors perform the song of their choice (which they should provide on CD).
3. The dress code for an Air Guitar player is open (costumes, make-up, or various stages of nudity are all allowed), and competitors may use additional props in any way they desire.
4. The winner will be judged by an expert panel based on his or her ability to ROCK, according to the following criteria:
- Talent (technical proficiency as an Air Guitarist)
- Showmanship (stage show, entertainment value, etc.)
- Crowd response.
5. Cheating is not only allowed, but encouraged.
The doors for the event are at 9pm, and there will be a $5 cover charge (which will go towards the cash prize).
