Live Bachata & Salsa for Valentine's will be the first "Victoria Latin Dance Night", on these events you will be able to enjoy dancing performances and a live Latin music show, joining music and dance in a celebration of Latin Culture, we believe this culture can be celebrated all the time and not only once a year.
The amazing Tatianna Hassan from Colombia will be teaching a Bachata lesson and perform a Bachata routine with Ali Jorgensen. Other performances by the dance crew Yamulee Ladies, (Mayumi Volkers, Akzhana Issabekova and Jessica Ruskin), they will be performing Salsa. Cuban Dancer Isabel Arias will do a solo Salsa routine. Helene Roy and Jason Siu from Salsa Victoriana, Michelle Hopkins, Sven Rau, and Mishell Carolene will dance Bachata for you. This will be a night to not miss!
The West Coast Cuban Orchestra will be performing a beautiful selection of the best romantic Bachata and Salsa music to celebrate Valentine's day! A great part of Latin music is the passion and romanticism inside it, so this will be a perfect occasion to show that. The band will also include music from other genres and languages adapted to Latin style. This band has been rescuing all styles of Latin music to contribute on keeping this culture alive in here, they will start bringing you more regular events like this one, so stay tuned as many surprises will be coming up this year!
This event will happen at the Victoria Event Centre, doors open 7:30pm, dance class starts 7:45pm, show time 8:45pm to 11:30, dance performances 9:45, Latin DJ until 1am playing all styles. Tickets $22 at door / $17 Eventbrite.
