Learn and experiment with gouache and watercolour paints. The immediacy of watercolour and its unique qualities and transparencies make it an appealing medium, but the inclusion of more opaque gouache pigments opens up many exciting doors.
While exploring basic techniques in both gouache and watercolour style paints, students will make paintings in a variety of subjects including landscape, still life, and imagery from photographs. Hands on guidance in colour-mixing, brushwork, washes, and mark-making with individualized attention in a supportive and creative atmosphere.
Supplies for first class will be provided.
