SonIK is showcasing some of the longest running veterans in the Victoria electronic music scene. Each artist having skill sets perfected over decades of performing for generations old and new.
There's no holding back for this event.

Carson : VEMC
Carson has long been one of Victoria's favorite House DJs since the days of Hush Nightclub; where he worked his way up from oft guest DJ to weekly Saturday night resident. There he honed his style, evolving from Funky and Disco House, to a more gritty but no less fun tech & house sound today. He still loves his bass lines that inspire a fully writhing dance floor, giving him a dedicated following for well over a decade. A dedicated DJ and track hunter, Carson's sets have the sheen of a professional and a man impassioned about his music. Don't miss a rare set by this local house legend.

Music has always been a passion of Acranymph’s, and since 2003 he has been playing records for crowds from his humble beginnings in Fredericton, New Brunswick in St. Mary’s First Nation to Victoria, B.C where Acranymph now calls home and everywhere in between. Bass house, Baseline and Electro house have always been his primary inspiration for mixing/blending. Acranymph tries his very best to bring those three genres together in the form of “Electro Bass”, while always respecting the roots and what these sounds have to bring. Acranymph has played alongside artist like Awal, Whipped Cream, Abstakt Sonance, Craymak and many more great artists.
It’s really all about the dance floor for DJ’s, and what the people want. DJ-ing will always be what defines Acranymph as an artist and as an individual, but it would be nothing without the dance floor. His goal in all that he does is to obtain perfection, and with playing records for those who love to dance, Acranymph aims to give them an Electro Bass experience that allows them to lose themselves in the passion he hold for them, that he exhibit through the Funk.

DJ DESIBEL (SonIK Productions/VEMC)
Desibel (aka Perry Taylor) has been DJ’n for 18+ years hailing from Victoria performing all over Vancouver island, Vancouver and Edmonton.
Starting as a breaks DJ operating “ Therapy Thursday’s” at Jungle nightclub for 5 years hosting and opening for some of the industries biggest international talent, CTRL-Z, DJ Quest, Odyssey, Ed209, Screwface, Deep Impact, Influenza, Critical (RIP bro), Psidream, Dabbler,Kenny Ken, GrooveRobber, Rennie Foster, and Czech just to name a few!
Presently throwing events under “SonIK Productions “ with residencies at the Copper Owl and the Mint Victoria showcasing new vibes with Bass House, Future House and known to still throw down the funky breaks to make your booty shake and much more!
Desibel produces Bass House/Wobble House with his own style of heavy bass for his new project sounds!
Desibel is an alumni member of the V.E.M.C. working together for the Bass community.
