Event Description

Readings by local writers from their books about animals: whales from Mark Leiren-Young and Gayle Millbank, monkeys from Grant Hayter-Menzies, horses from Barbara Julian, poems from Karen Ballinger, and more …
Books for adults and kids on display. Chat with the authors. There will be a 10 minute comic Readers Theatre skit: "The Animals' Council" (what would it be like if animals ran the City?)
Refreshments available, or bring your brown bag lunch.
