Dj Blackout (Dubversified Resident)

Originally from Québec, #blackooout started mixing house and hip hop in 2010. Blackout has rocked crowds of 5000, and his underground flavour gets bodies moving whenever he plays. He also participated and Won DJ Battle such as Red Bull 3style.

Blackout also founded Dubversified Culture. A Brand designed to support local West coast Bass artists and create bridges with other Dub/House Scene around the world.

Who's ready for a tall glass of Ness-T? This spunky, animated DJ has been performing in Victoria and beyond for 13 years now. Far from slowing down, she continues to invest more passion into music every day. Fusing elements from all genres with a welcome dose of live drumming and looping, Ness leans toward the dark, bad ass, lip-biting sexiness of electronica. Always different, always changing, never the same. Ness knows all genres can set fire to the dance floor when the timing is right. There is no need to limit one’s self to just one.

Music has always been the fuel for her creativity, her best friend on rough days, her ever present soundtrack to life. Her love shows and keeps the crowds growing with every set.Between her residency at The Mint with “She Jay Sundays”, being a featured performer at the “West Coast Hoop Camp”, her work with Bliss in Beats, and her eclectic live gigs across the island, this dynamic talent is one that you should be excited about. Lyssa

Lyssa is passionate about art, clothing & costume design, music, & dancing. Her first appearance as DJ "Lyssa" took place in 2005. Having spent 11 years in Mexico, and being fortunate enough to be exposed to Latin culture, she has a strong desire to explore her roots in her musical selections. Lyssa's style could be described as sexy, smooth, organic, & classy, and depending on what what mood we catch her in, expect anything from rolling Chicago house, bouncy ethnic house, deep and lush, slamming tech house, soulful funk and disco, and even quirky leftfield...

She made Victoria her home in spring 2007, and held a residency at Hush Nightclub for nearly 5 years. Her weekly online streaming radio show has been her staple expression since 2014, you can check it out on Sugar Shack Radio (www.sugarshackrecordings.com) every Wednesday from 3-5pm PST!

Cataphonic

Nine lives ago Cataphonic’s keen ears first started mixing house music. The result was a quick ascension up the Victoria DJ circuit, while winning fans and inspiring dance floors alike. Her club sounds drop like dirty, bassy, sexy house and are known to shake the room, bouncing booties across the floor and making kittens purr. Cataphonic, aka Angela Veale, is local to Victoria, BC, where she’s been known to play many nightclubs and lounges in the area. Her love for the music has earned her residencies at well loved establishments such as Lure Restaurant & Bar, the ever popular Glo Restaurant + Lounge, and most recently, the new and super stylish Boom & Batten, where you can find her weaving deep and seductive soundscapes every Saturday night.

Devoted to the beats and hard working in her craft, she continues to make appearances all over the city. You’ll want to keep an eye out for this house cat, and catch her if you can!
