Event Description
BoylesqueTO, Canada’s premiere all-male burlesque troupe, will perform its signature show Oh Manada! in Victoria at The Capital Ballroom on Friday, August 30th! In this cheeky (pun intended) cabaret revue that has been thrilling North American audiences since 2010, the boys of BoylesqueTO will strip down all of your favorite Canadian icons and slather them with maple syrup for your viewing pleasure. Sexy delights include:
-A Lumberjack that will give you wood
-A scandalous retelling of Roch Carrier’s The Hockey Sweater
-A Tim Horton’s double-double like you’ve never seen before
-A Newfound Lad that will have you hook, line and sinker
-And with special guest Misty Moss!
“A show like this is everything I come to love…Oh Manada! is selling Canuck sex appeal and loads of laughs.”

Beautiful art and powerful commentary on the nature of sex,
masculinity, and gender. - Canadian Theatre Review
Of course, no Oh Manada! show would be complete without our charming yet filthy host: #1 Canadian hottie and Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau (Shagina Twain). The show features a stud-studded line-up of BoylesqueTO’s core members, including the ruggedly handsome James and the Giant Pasty, the alluringly sophisticated Dew Lily, the charmingly crass Wrong Note Rusty, and the dangerously young and fresh Newfound Lad. Written by Johnnie Walker.
Doors at 8 PM, Show at 9 PM
$20 Advance General Admission, $25 at the Door

We would like to acknowledge that this event is taking place on the traditional unceded territory of the Lekwungen people, now known as the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations, on which we are guests.
We would also like to acknowledge that a land acknowledgement is the bare minimum that we or any group can do to acknowledge our place in colonialism.
We encourage you to take further action to support indigenous groups and organizations. We will be donating 5 percent of the proceeds of this show to the Victoria Native Friendship Centre, dedicated to improving the quality of life for Aboriginal people in the Greater Victoria area. And we encourage you to consider making a donation as well, to the Victoria Native Friendship Centre, or another indigenous organization.
You can find a link for donation to the Victoria native Friendship Centre here: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/15341
We are constantly working towards acknowledging our place in colonialism and with this show we hope it showcases the absurdity of some of our Canadian stereotypes and ideals and how our country still has lots of work to do and a long way to go.
