Event Description
Club Havana is an event that has been created to bring Cuban culture to Victoria, I want you all to feel the vibe of the Cuban streets, the people, the music.
There is so much Cuban music that hasn’t been played in Victoria and BC, so this event will bring you that, specially the music from the times and places where music was more real and pure, old traditional Cuban music from the rural areas, this music will be played live by the West Coast Cuban All Stars.
From the music of legends like Miguel Matamoros, Arsenio Rodríguez, Felix Chapotin, Compay Segundo, Ignacio Pineiro, all the way to Benny More, Enrique Jorrin, Pacho Alonso, and the list goes on and on, an endless universe of creativity that exists on this immense Island.
Door 8:00 pm, Salsa lesson by Christina Morrison 8:30, showtime 9:30 till 12:30, Salsa performance by Salsa Caliente 10:30, DJ music after band till 2am. Advance tickets will be available at Eventbrite.
