Painted Batik Artist, Kirsten T.O. Sheffield returns to the Sidney waterfront with her solo show entitled "Travels Through Batik - At Home and Abroad." Kirsten subtly manipulates wax and dye to marry realism and the fluid nature of water within her colourful painted batiks and for a week, the ArtSea Gallery will inspire visitors with a combination of local, Westcoast images, as well as paintings from France, Croatia and the luminous canals of Venice! Originals, as well as a selection of limited edition giclées, will be available and a display of her studio table will give a glimpse of her creative process. Kirsten has exhibited at the Sidney Fine Art Show since 2013, winning the 2015 and 2017 People's Choice Awards. http://www.wallsthattalk.ca
