Luck of The Irish Night with The John Duffy Band
Eat, drink, and be Irish on Saturday night at Cup of Joe! We will be sporting green beer, Guiness, mother's ruin (gin), poundies on the cooker (potatoes on the stove), riddles, and the best Irish pub songs.
Music starts at 6pm

A couple of veteran musicians team up to play Irish Pub songs and British Invasion music. Mather Hewison AKA John Duffy (on lead vocals and guitar) hails from Northern England but has been singing Irish songs since childhood and has many years experience in the Vancouver/Victoria Irish music field dating back to the 1970s. He is complemented by multi-instrumentalist Dave Harris (harmony vocals, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, harmonica and electric guitar), a 40 plus year busking veteran, with plenty of experience in multiple musical genres, including Celtic. Together they present favourites such as Black Velvet Band, Whiskey in the Jar, The Unicorn, Danny Boy, Leaving of Liverpool and Dirty Old Town and lesser known gems such as The Butcher Boy, Carrick Fergus, Star of the County Down and The Orange & The Green plus British Invasion music by Van Morrison, Donovan, Rod Stewart, Gerry & The Pacemakers and other relevant artists. An emphasis is placed on a fun presentation and sing-a-longs. Come join in the fun!
