Prepare to experience opera as a part of the show! VIPG presents an Opera in a Box production of The Sleepwalker; a portable, no frills production capitalizing on the dynamic cast and recruitment of the audience to share a comedic folk tale of virtue and trust.
The Sleepwalker, is an English adaptation of Vincenzo Bellini’s La Sonnambula, a semi-seria opera in two acts set to a libretto by Felice Romani.
On the eve of a much celebrated wedding, a stranger comes to town, a phantom terrorizes the village and the villagers question the virtue of the bride. All is revealed when they learn how to trust each other in the finale.
