Event Description

A great night of bluegrass and old country music. Doors at 7:30, open stage 7:45 to 8:45 then Nomad Jones will take the stage for a scintillating one hour set of searing instrumentals to sultry love songs and all sorts of other blistering bluegrass in between. $7 at the door, $5 for VBA members.

About Nomad Jones
Drawing on an extensive repertoire from traditional bluegrass and travelling across the acoustic music spectrum, Nomad Jones will entertain you with their blood harmonies, amusing anecdotes and intriguing instrumentals. Over the past two years, Nomad Jones has become a fan-favourite at festivals throughout Western Canada.

A combination of youth and beauty, veterans and virtuosos, Nomad Jones is:
Nico Laroche-Humby (Edmonton, AB) - bass and vocal
Miles Zurawell (Victoria, BC) - banjo, resonator guitar and vocals
Katrina Nicolayeff (Boise, ID) - fiddle
Craig Korth (Nelson, BC) - guitar, banjo and vocals
Bill Humby (Nanaimo, BC) - vocals and guitar

Their first album entitled “Pickin’ Up & Puttin’ Down” was released in August 2018.
