We know how you're excited the Island is to check out Ozomatli, Batuque Axe and DJ Anger on Friday, February 1 at Capital Ballroom. And to add the excitement Victoria BC Ska & Reggae Society & Studio 4 Athletics are teaming up to offer a Q&A prior to the show at 4pm at Studio 4 Athletics (715 Yates Street) below the Victoria Ache Capoeria School!
The event is all ages and free of charge. This will be a great opportunity to speak with members of Ozomatli more in depth about their history, purpose and how their music is a product of their diverse background and beliefs.
Come to the Q&A and then bring more friends and family to the concert later in the evening at Capital Ballroom!
Tickets for the concert are moving quickly. You can purchase them on-line at ticketweb.ca or get hard copies at Lyle's Place, Vinyl Envy, Jupiter or Fascinating Rhythm in Nanaimo.
Ozomatli have been spreading their sounds of freedom and joy infused with various Latin American rhythms, hip hop, reggae, funk and everything in between for over 20 years. Legends in their own right, Ozomatli are recipients of a two Grammy awards and have played with soul legends such as Stevie Wonder to Afro Cuban legends such as Alex Acuña.
We're here to help artists and arts organizations reach their audiences and each other.
