A perennial holiday classic brought to you by the Civic Orchestra! Hundreds of audience member voices join together as a choir inside the beautiful Alix Goolden Hall for our 20th sing-along rendition of Handel’s most famous oratorio, led by Music Director, Brian Wismath. For a fresh take, we’ll be redefining the gender implications of the baroque era by flipping solos (i.e. soprano will sing tenor solos and vice versa).
Featuring the incredible vocal talents of:
Jennifer Turner, soprano (singing tenor solos)
Kiiri Michelsen, mezzo (singing bass solos)
Maximillian Jansen, tenor (singing soprano solos)
Nathan McDonald, baritone (singing alto solos)
And YOU, the Audience, as the Chorus!
Also available at:
Long & McQuade | Munro's Books | Ivy's Bookshop | Tanner's Books (no service fees, cash only)
Tickets will also be available at the door.
Planning to Sing-Along?
The Orchestra will have a limited quantity of Novello Choral Edition vocal scores available to be borrowed at the performance (donations are greatly appreciated). If you have your own score, please bring it with you. They are available for purchase at local music stores like Long & McQuade.
