Event Description

A Place to Listen’s 2018/2019 season kicks off with a new work by Victoria-based composer-performer and APTL Ensemble member Kristy Farkas. Her research, performances, and recordings from a month-long stay in Japan in May 2018 have culminated in the work Sounds of belonging for live electronics, field recordings, and acoustic instruments. It will be performed by Kristy and APTL Ensemble members Daniel Brandes, Laura Brandes, and Christopher Reiche Boucher.
