Feature: Pam Stewart
Bio: Pam is a writer, spoken word poet, event producer and workshop facilitator. She finds it easier being vulnerable on stage than in real life and tries to make each performance a little more honest than the last. Her writing explores what it's like being one type of woman in a very distracted world. To her, writing is the fastest route to knowing oneself. She is affectionately known as The Riot Grrrl Burlesque Revue's 'Poet in Residence,' and is the producer of Victoria's spoken word festival, Slam by the Sea. Her essays on growth and personal development are regularly published on the online magazine, Elephant Journal; and she is a four-time Canadian Festival of Spoken Word competitor. In 2018 she represented Victoria at the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam in Vancouver.
