Event Description

Tenor Benjamin Butterfield and pianist Kinza Tyrrell take you on a diverse journey from the folksongs of Canada, Lieder in Germany, songs from Russia and Ukraine, to the neglected American Art Songs of Randy Newman.

Benjamin Butterfield enjoys an international career as one of Canada's most successful and in-demand artists. He has performed to critical acclaim throughout North America, Europe, Israel and New Zealand and is well-known to Victoria audiences.

Victoria native Kinza Tyrrell is one of Canada’s most sought after vocal coaches and repetiteurs. She is also a clinician and adjudicator, and currently the Principle Répétiteur, Assistant Conductor and Associate Chorus Master with Vancouver Opera, and Music Director of Vancouver Opera in Schools.
