Darlene Tait is a familiar face in Victoria's film scene. She has run Casting Rooms and been the reader for such Vancouver Casting Directors as Heike Brandstatter, Coreen Mayrs, Ann Forry, and Tiffany Mak as well as many local and visiting productions. In addition, she has Produced or been 1st Assistant Director for such local productions as award-winning The Cameraman and scores of others.
This introductory level class will provide newcomers with important information and tips about the casting room - how it is run and what small things can make or break your audition. In addition, we will look at the fastest growing form of auditions - Self-Tapes - what to do and what never to do.
This class is suited to newcomers who are gearing up to hit the audition room. This short class will not focus as much on character creation but more the business of the casting room and self-taping. If you are thinking of your first steps towards the red carpet, this will steer you in the right direction.
We're here to help artists and arts organizations reach their audiences and each other.
Non-profit run and created by the community, ArtsVictoria.ca integrates current event listings and multimedia arts portfolios, and creates an explorable, living archive of the arts in Victoria BC.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
