Event Description

One month ago, Jim Holyoak and Matt Shane began their hike along the West Coast Trail, stopping along the way to make sketches and learn about the local ecologies in the park. Many slug drawings later the two returned to Open Space to begin a large-scale and immersive drawing installation called "Forestrial Brain".

On Saturday, August 12, Jim and Matt discuss their collaborative process, past projects, and their current installation at Open Space, "Forestrial Brain". The artists will speak to their trek on the West Coast Trail, their histories as artists and collaborators, what drives their work, and the materials and concepts that make up "Forestrial Brain". Discussion is welcomed!
