Raquy is one of the world's foremost experts on the Middle Eastern darabuka drum! She will be joined onstage by Michael Burdi, and djembe master Bruno Genero.
Raquy also plays the mystical 12 - stringed King Kemenche Tarhu, a futuristic version of the Persian spike fiddle.
Prepare for a hypnotic journey in the presence of two of the world's great masters of rhythm: Raquy & Bruno.
Opening for Raquy are the Victoria Percussion Orchestra, and the UVic African Music Ensemble.
