David Vest and his band will take you on a musical trip to Kansas City, spotlighting the music of Big Joe Turner, Julia Lee, Jay McShann, Count Basie, Pete Johnson and other greats.

David Vest has been rockin' and shoutin' the blues since 1957. Born in Alabama but a longtime Victoria resident, he is a three-time winner of the Maple Blues Award for piano player of the year, but he is also known for his storytelling and songwriting. His songs have been performed by artists ranging from Tammy Wynette to Downchild. He has appeared onstage with Big Joe Turner, Miss Lavelle White, Carey Bell, Red Foley, Paul deLay, Curtis Salgado, and the legendary Soul Stirrers, to name but a few.
