UR STRINGS & SPRING CONCERT MAY 19

* * * WORLD PREMIERE

We proudly present The World Premiere of Stephen Brown's Concerto for Two Cellos, The Big Twin. Featuring SCO cellists Laura Backstrom and Joyce Ellwood, the orchestra will be conducted by the composer, Stephen Brown.

* * * BC PREMIERE

We will also present the BC Premiere of Leslie Opatril's latest composition, 'Caldera'

* * * ROUNDING OUT THE PROGRAM

Rounding out the program: Vivaldi's string symphonies in D major and D minor, Vaughan Williams ‘Charterhouse Suite’ and Mendelssohn's String Symphony No. 3 in E minor.
