Event Description
. Saturday, March 25th IMU presents BRIGHT RED KITE CD Release Party w/ BOY BREAKING GLASS, The BELIEF EXPERIMENT & JARED AND THE SOCIAL WORKER @ The Backstage Lounge, 1585 Johnston Street. Doors 9pm / Show 9:30pm / $10 cover
BRIGHT RED KITE is an indie rock four-piece with an expansive, eclectic sound featuring effects-laden arpeggios, atmospheric synths and doomsday baritone crooning. They are overeducated and perfectly well-adjusted, though this is likely a front for various latent medical disorders and/or criminal enterprises. https://www.facebook.com/BrightRedKite
BOY BREAKING GLASS - With a modern indie rock approach and intelligent song writing, Boy Breaking Glass is quickly earning a reputation for their new wave, trip-hop, post-rock, horror movie sound. They deftly use stereo effects and multiple layers to craft eerily upbeat but equally unsettling original melodic music. http://www.facebook.com/boybreakingglass
The BELIEF EXPERIMENT is a raw Vancouver-based garage power trio with pop-infused melodies layered over unusual time signatures. Their 2017 debut album YVR covers ground from acoustic ballads to politically-charged punk anthems. http://www.facebook.com/thebeliefexperiment
JARED AND THE SOCIAL WORKER - Like a parade on fire, Jared and the Social Worker are entertaining, captivating, heartbreaking and unforgettable. Jared and his tight 4-piece band weave brand new, original rock tunes with clever versions of eclectic covers sure to put a smile on your face. http://www.facebook.com/JATSWorker
