Event Description
This is a musical event to celebrate Indigenous life, resilience, and reconciliation, iHope (Indigenous Healing our People Everywhere) 2016, inaugural benefit concert. iHope has been created to provide a musical event to celebrate life promotion and suicide prevention. The celebration of life promotion will be held at the historic Vogue Theatre in beautiful Vancouver, BC on Thursday, November 17th, 2016. Join leaders in bringing worldwide awareness to suicide prevention through messages of Indigenous resilience, life promotion, and reconciliation. iHope bridges the First Nations Health Managers National Annual Conference and the WeBelong International Forum on life promotion to address Indigenous suicide, bringing together health leaders from across the world.
The facts are staggering; the suicide rate for Indigenous peoples is five to seven times higher than it is for other Canadians. iHope will shine a light on life promotion. We invite you to help us contribute to the shared message of hope. Music can be healing, and music will bring our nations together in celebration. Join us for this historic and musical event!
